Segundo uma pesquisa divulgada pelo Departamento de Agricultura dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), o consumo de café entre as pessoas nos anos de 2016/2017 foi de 25,5 milhões de sacas (60 Kg), ou seja, o café é uma das bebidas mais consumidas no país.
De acordo com a Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab), o Brasil é um dos principais fornecedores de café para os EUA, além da Colômbia e Vietnã. A bebida tem uma forte influência entre os americanos e, dessa forma, a quantidade de café consumida pelas pessoas ultrapassam 500 ml, diferente do Brasil, em que as pessoas consomem, em média, 3 a 4 xícaras de café por dia, ficando entre 250ml a 300ml, segundo a empresa holandesa detentora de inúmeras marcas de bebidas, Jacobs Doure Egbert.
